不懂是The Star新闻错误还是实况。在USM读博士，撞死人了不能录口供，因为马来语不会，英语也不会……
哈哈哈，不懂他是不是骗警察的。
不对。他都不懂英文马来文，怎样跟警察讲自己是USM PHD的？walau难道是讲华语？还是警察懂伊拉克话？
ok，重点是他撞死人。Driving in a reckless and dangerous manner。是喝了酒还是做了什么事太兴奋还是在表演特技还是天气热需要发泄，这些我们不知道。不理。
在msn和在USM就读的肚腩发聊起的是为什么这家伙不会马来语英语也能读USM，聊到马来西亚的教育政策。
英语wor，International Language。我还真是无知了，以前还以为要在本地读大学都是英文最重要的，想不到其他语言也可以读。是伊拉克语吗？
之前闹独中文凭应该受承认时，我们国家负责教育的那位-木材鱿鱼沙丁鱼貌似说独中文凭不符合国情。So，伊拉克语，还是什么奇怪语总之不是英文马来文的可以在这里读出PHD，独中、STPM出来不到大学随便给他们走开就很符合国情啦？
USM，曾经我最想进的政府大学。还记得当初看到新闻它升为APEX顶尖大学时很开心，还pro到STPM要3.0以上才能申请进，然后还要考入学考试的。全马第一间需要考入学考试的政府大学。
都是酱的啦。很多时候精英读到半死，不能好好进到IPTA，一些莫名其妙明明成绩kanasai的就可以进，而且是拿好的科。报纸和校刊很会讲，哇，拍一些人happy照片放大大，剩下一大堆失落的人被忽视了。讲多少%的学生成功进入国立大专就读，比往年高%。Pui，厉害就登出来大大给大家看那些是什么奇怪科来的～
讲回外国佬。由于每年都会讲话的Top University Ranking的存在，每间大学都想争取更好的排名。尤其是政府大学，糟糕的排名就是给反对党、评论员做文章。
QS world university ranking。全世界的范围太大了，马来西亚很少很不好看。我来放一下2009年亚洲的top200。

竟然是亚洲排名，没看清楚还真吓到，我记得马大在全世界是一两百名。 不懂啦，这种事情，管不了这么多。 只是，应该是用bahasa arab的吧？
嗯，一直跌的排名。 那么也是我第一次听到国立大学用Bahasa Arab来教书了。
有时真的让人摸不着头脑。。如此让人哭笑不得的新闻也能发生。。教育本是一个神圣及崇高的事物，为什么把它给糟蹋呢？悲。。 顶尖大学定义何在？
I can smell sarcasm from the topic (half truth us NOT truth)….. Yes, I can believe it ………… if you know this: Hi, I am an international postgraduate PhD student in USM, and precisely Electrical Engineering School. I am from the Middle East (not from Iraq). I know this student (Hamood) as a colleague. A few words here to make things fair, here is the remaining half: First, I feel very sad for this accident, and the loss of life. We lost a dear colleague. I lived and worked in the UK for some time, and I obtained Masters degree there from one of the top UK universities. I honestly can say USM is no less with current capabilities and potential. You Malaysians should be proud of this institution ….FULL STOP !. - PhD students in USM are research students, which mean that they don’t enroll in classes, and are not instructed by any medium. The only course for international research students is LKM100 (basic Bahasa Malaysia). He should however be able to communicate well with his/her supervisor, and understand relevant scientific language. - In Electrical Engineering (same subject Hamood is studying), we work with mathematical formulas, equations, computer codes, simulations, and perform experimental work more than we use literature to describe ideas. You don’t have to be William Shakespeare, or a Literate to understand math. The amount and area of language involved is scientific oriented. - Postgraduate student should all be able know English (not Malay), as all papers, publications are in English. This is no difference for Hamood, which I believe he knew as he was in the final stage of preparing his thesis in English (thesis can be in English or Malay in USM). - May be his English was not solid enough for him to stand in a serious police investigation. Every word or legal term has its impact. I would have done exactly the same ifA I was in his place to avoid misunderstanding irrelevant legal terms (no one wishes to be in his place). - Finally, if you think Malaysian (from all races) have better English than Hamood, think twice!! I am pretty sure USM_ENG_EE doesnt really understand chinese words well. The blogger WAS NOT THE ONE WHO ANNOUNCED Hamood can't speak english, it's Star News said so, and DIDN'T BLAME Hamood for not able to communicate in Malay. and it's the NEWS said that Hamood is IRAQI. And the blogger DIDN'T SAY it's truly Hamood's fault that has made this incident happen, blogger said they are many possibilities that might lead to this incident. and the whole main point of this post is juz CRITICISING THE QUALITY OF HIGHER EDUCATION IN MALAYSIAN HAS FALLEN so much.
Hi; 1st ---If this post is because your worry about quality is higher education you don't need to have this highlight "WTF" ------2nd its not need to bee exper in chines to understant the aim behined !!! for your info if you never been in contact of how things are go in the world ... you have to check before you talk about high edu. in malaysia and specially in USM. I realty wondered about this case, if this student is not a USM student wither this question will be addressed as a good question !! At the start and at the END this is an accident …!! For those who want the MOHE to look about –> Don’t be MUCH CRAZY, any body with the basics of High school English can PASS the ENGLISH LEVEL examination required by local universities in Malaysia or international as in UK or USA or others without being have a good communication skill in English (i.e speaking). I know well the system of (USA, UK, Canada and AU). SO If hammoud offered to study in USM he also can have an offer to study in UM, UPM,UKM, UTM, ….and all public and private univ. in Malaysia as well as overseas. EVEN IN USA you can study without having a very good level of english or even have a TOEFEL ,,, Detroit University is a well known and recognized unv. in which you can get and offer to study post-grad deg. in electrical eng. without having TOFEL. SO TO END … The case is ONLY NORMAL ACCIDENT ,,, every day in Malaysia and in all the world having a more worse accindets ,,, SO DO NOT GO FARE FROM THE case !!! 100 …. FULL STOP !!
上面那位打酱油的已经解释了。 再说，用逻辑思考都知道，在马来西亚要会英文才能国立大学，所以报纸乱写的机率比较高。我也在前面就怀疑报纸了，也特地highlight出来。 你懂很多这个那个system也是不关我事。我也没有因为他accident而一直讲他。看清楚，我是说我USM朋友跟我聊起马来西亚的教育制度。我对那个伊拉克留学生不感兴趣。如果我对他很感兴趣的话，我的标题已经直接讲他了。 最后，你不喜欢我写的东西你可以不必看。我没有到处宣传叫人看我写东西。 句号。
mr.usm_eng_ee, kacaubird and 打酱油 explain to u already..furthermore, kacaubird just get shock about the article from star...He's Not go fare from the case..he is just saying the system problem..and u are the ppl who go fare from this case..
WTF is just a common word, no offense at all. "2nd its not need to bee exper in chines to understant the aim behined" I didnt say need to be an expert but at least dont get the blogger wrong of what he has said. Dont simply judge people's words and distort the meaning. and our concern is, why the news was written in such a way saying that Hamood cannot understand English ? if you can write but cannot speak, that is understandable. If you can write but cannot understand, does that make sense ? therefore the blogger is suspecting the news has reported wrongly. and, the blogger didn't bother much about the accident, because how it happened it's an unknown, he did not comment much. should I ask you a question, do you know how hard is Malaysian Chinese Students to enter local universities? Our private high school certificates are not recognized by Malaysia, although obviously the standard is much higher than SPM. and government has set a percentage to protect bumiputras, the priority to enter local Uni for bumiputras is 70++%. and Malaysian Chinese has to get fantastic result (ultra extra ordinary good result) in order to be eligible to local U. and what, we have the right to express our own opinions, free speaking.
